Invitation to tender for fuel gas
OPAL Gastransport GmbH & Co. KG requires natural gas for operating its gas transportation system (OPAL including Radeland compressor station and Greifswald gas transfer station), which will be supplied at stations Radeland and Greifswald.
Non-binding estimate for these stations is a total requirement of approximately 193,000 MWh. Gas traders are requested to take part in an invitation to tender for the sale and supply of fuel gas, whereat both quantities are together for tender.
OPAL Gastransport GmbH & Co. KG is requesting tenders for the sale and supply of fuel gas in the period 1 October 2022 to 1 April 2023 for full supply in the THE market area. Consumption points as RLM exit points are introduced into the supplier’s balancing group for this purpose. In addition to the gas supply, the supplier therefore also balances this gas on the exit point via a balancing group and provides the balancing services. The offer to sell and supply fuel gas will be based on a master agreement for both consumption points and a ”data and price sheet” as an annex to the master agreement which the OPAL Gastransport GmbH & Co. KG concludes with the gas trader who wins the contract. The ”data and price sheet” as an annex to the master contract in particular regulates the pricing of the fuel gas quantities to be procured.
Sellers wishing to offer fuel gas must first take part in a prequalification process to be able to present their terms of sale and delivery in the subsequent tender and bidding phases.
Deadlines
Pursuant to Section 2 item (3) of the invitation to tender conditions, all the documents required for prequalification must be received by 12 noon on 24 August 2022.
The tender and bidding phase in accordance with Section 3 of the invitation to tender conditions ends at 12 noon on 6 September 2022.
The contract award phase conducted by the OPAL Gastransport GmbH & Co. KG in accordance with Section 4 of the invitation to tender conditions will end at 12 noon on 8 September 2022.
